Bassolino
Dario Bassolino is a pianist, DJ, producer, and composer hailing from sunny Naples. Together with his live band, he has a knack for blending the sonic textures of disco, funk, soul, fusion, and jazz into a cohesive, danceable sound – a talent he has showcased repeatedly at festivals such as Down the Rabbit Hole, Eurosonic, and Lowlands.
In 2024, he released the album “Città Futura”, featuring catchy songs, cinematic guitar themes, and epic grooves. A new album is set to follow in 2027, promising an enticing mix of Neapolitan “cinedelic” soundtracks, jazz, and Italo disco. Bassolino has previously produced for and performed with alternative R&B singer LNDFK and jazz-funk legend Nicola Conte; his own music draws inspiration from Brazilian funk icons like Hermeto Pascoal and Airto Moreira.
Bassolino is highly recommended for fans of Nu Genea, Parblue, Kraak & Smaak, and YIN YIN.
